Christopher Day welcomed to 2023 FGFOA Leadership Class VI

Collier County Clerk Crystal K. Kinzel is pleased to share that Christopher Day, Financial Analyst of the Clerk’s Office, has been invited to join the 2023 Florida Government Finance Officers Association (FGFOA) Leadership Class. Out of many aspiring applicants from all over the state, he was one of the 20 chosen individuals to join the FGFOA Leadership Class VI.  

Christopher Day has been working as a Financial Analyst for the Collier County Clerk of the Circuit Court and Comptroller since October 2022. He attended the University of California, Riverside, where he earned his Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration with a major Finance and Managerial Economics. He is committed to lifelong excellence and learning while supporting others to do the same. Mr. Day has leveraged his leadership style and commitment to excellence to develop cohesive teams built on a culture of continuous learning, trust, and respect. He is an alumnus of the Theta Lambda Chapter of Delta Tau Delta Fraternity as well as a Den Leader with Boy Scouts of America. In his free time, Chris promotes classic car culture with current and future enthusiasts as well as spending time with his wife and son exploring the outdoors via boating, kayaking, and scuba diving. 

The FGFOA Leadership Program is one of the association’s major efforts in cultivating excellent financial officers who will create an impact within their respective communities and Florida’s financial leadership. The 2023 Program will focus on the theme ‘You, Your team, Your organization, and Your interaction with the broader governmental environment’ and will cover a variety of topics including Workplace and Compliance Training, Communication Skills and Media Relations, Management and Supervisory Skills, Leadership Development, and more.
