Report Guardianship Fraud

If you have concerns or wish to report suspected fraud or waste involving court-appointed guardians for elderly persons, minor children or incapacitated individuals, report your concerns to the Inspector General. This includes, but is not limited to:

• • Missing money or property
  • Altered or fabricated documents
  • Suspicious loans, funds transfers, opened or closed accounts/lines of credit
  • Suspicious purchase or sale of real or personal property
  • Violations of federal, state, or local laws, standards of practice, rules, or regulations
  • Conflict of interest involving the Guardian
  • Forced removal from the ward’s home or residence
  • Forced isolation from family or friends

Submissions are sent directly to the Clerk of the Circuit Court & Comptroller’s Division of Inspector General for investigation.  When reporting online, please be sure to include the ward’s full name and the case number, if known in the field titled, “Who are the individuals involved in this incident?”.
