Satellite Recording Services

We have strived to make our recording services more accessible to the public by providing multiple ways to submit documents for recording into public record – traditionally in person or by mail, and more recently, by third party and business accounts to the e-recording portal. This spring, we launched mobile and public e-recording, in which users can snap a photo of their documents and e-record from anywhere if they have a public e-recording account. Setting up an account is easy and is located on our website under the official records landing page or by this link: COR Access (collierclerk.com). The registration or sign in page is located on the left-side column under Public Portal. The account allows the user to submit and pay by credit card online.

For those who prefer in person service though, we always recommend onsite recording whenever possible. To make the trip more convenient, we have Recording Clerks at the Growth Management building in addition to the main Recording office in the Government Center Courthouse. Friendly and professional deputy clerks stationed at our satellite offices combine services from both the Court Customer Service and Recording offices. You can quickly and easily submit Notices of Commencement and Declarations of Domicile or procure a marriage license or obtain certified copies of documents. Customers may also pay court or traffic fines, process domestic violence injunctions, or obtain DMV records. All locations except for the Airport Road DMV accept passport applications.

In the first 4 months of the 2024 calendar year, the Recording and Satellites departments have received over 32,000 e-records and over 46,000 documents recorded. The offices have processed over 6,000 passport applications and have issued over 1,100 marriage licenses since January.

Feel free to choose the location that is easiest for you! Our Satellites have convenient, close-to-the-building parking. You will walk out with your original documents recorded at the main courthouse or GMD– particularly convenient for Notices of Commencement or any other time-sensitive documents.
