Collier County Clerk’s Marco Island Satellite Office is Now Approved to Receive Passports

Our satellite office located in Marco Island City Building is now approved to receive passport applications!

According to statistics from the Bureau of Consular Affairs, more than 1,315,000 passports have been issued in the state of Florida for Fiscal Year 2022. That number is 51% more than the 870,000 passports issued in Fiscal Year 2021. With travel restrictions continuing to ease, this number is expected to continue growing. Now that our Marco Island Satellite Office is accepting passport applications, Marco Island residents will no longer have to travel off of the island to apply for US passports.

I would like to recognize the efforts of Maritza Orengo, Passport Specialist of our Recording Department, who managed the certification process with the Bureau of Consular Affairs. Working closely with representatives from the U.S. Department of State Passport Application Acceptance Program, Ms. Orengo ensured that the Marco Island Satellite Office staff received the appropriate training and the right resources were available. The U.S. Department of State considers the applications for designation based on passport demand and existing acceptance facilities located in communities.

To apply for a U.S. Passport, residents must bring all required documentation including proof of U.S. Citizenship, proof of identity, a recent color photograph, passport application fees, and completed passport application forms.
