Are you looking for a qualified speaker with a wealth of knowledge and interesting stories about Collier County and our community? With more than thirty-six years of public service in Collier County, first with the Sheriff’s Office as Finance Director and my 20 years with the Clerk’s Office, I am looking forward to sharing information with you about how our local government is structured and the specific services available to you from the Clerk’s Office.
Potential presentations might include:
- Civics Class School Presentations – As one of the founding members of Youth Leadership Collier, I’ve always had a passion for engaging the next generation of community leaders. While they are excited about our national election, it is the perfect opportunity for students engaged in the Civics curriculum to be informed about our local government and share interesting stories about our community. This presentation provides an introduction to our local government structure and the various constitutional officers and their roles, to foster youth awareness in their community.
- New Resident Orientation – If your community has a lot of new residents or residents not yet familiar with Florida and County government, I can provide an overview of Collier County’s Government Structure. I can expand with information about the role of the Constitutional Officers as well as an overview of the County.
- The Future of Collier County – If the audience is already well established in the community, I can talk about the Growth of Buildings and Infrastructure and how Collier County pays for growth. Additionally, I can talk about protection measures to help prevent vendor fraud, real estate fraud or other current scams we are seeing in our community or around the state.
I welcome the opportunity to speak to local Schools, Scout Troops, Homeowners Associations or other organizations who have any upcoming events, meetings, luncheons, or after-hours events. We may be able to qualify for continuing education for your business, profession, or group.
Organizations are welcome to request more specific topics, e.g. tax deed sales, foreclosures or guardianships, that are not listed above. I am excited to engage with more members of the Collier County community through speaker opportunities. I hope to provide more visibility on the roles and responsibilities of the Clerk’s office and how we provide many essential services.
