We all enjoy choices, and the Clerk’s office is pleased to offer another new option for ordering certified paper copies of your documents. Beginning July 1st, customers can simply order documents directly through our website.
Do you just need a quick copy for informational purposes? Feel free to print one on your home printer. Or maybe you have found yourself in urgent need of a certified copy on the spot. E-certified copies are acceptable for many purposes and may be ordered on our website; they are easy to download and are accessible within a few minutes.
Sometimes only a paper certified copy will suffice and maybe it is not convenient to drop into one of our offices. Formerly, customers mailed a written request, the payment, and a self-addressed stamped envelope to the main office and a clerk would print, certify, and mail back the requested copy. You are still welcome to do that, or you may choose to access the Public Portal, drop the document into the cart, and create an account if you have not previously done so. The copies cost the same as if you purchased them in our office, and postage fees are automatically calculated. It is easy, cost effective and you will receive your certified hard copy in about half the time as previously required.
