On March 20, 2023, our staff received notice that its Popular Annual Financial Report (PAFR) for the fiscal year ended September 30, 2021, had received the Government Financial Officers Association (GFOA) award for PAFR reporting.
This award program aims to recognize local and state government offices that have produced an accessible and understandable Popular Annual Financial Report available for the public. A panel of independent reviewers completed the examination of the report following a set of requirements. The award program evaluates the information presented, reader appeal, understandability, distribution, as well as, creativity, and usefulness of the reports.
This was the first year that our office’s PAFR was submitted to the award program and first time-recipients of the award receive a plaque to commemorate the achievement. The PAFR award is valid for one year.
It has been my goal to offer this condensed version of the Annual Comprehensive Financial Report to our citizens. I am pleased that the report won the award on its first submission to the PAFR Program and I would like to thank both Clerk and County staff for their efforts in achieving this result.
We are submitting our 2022 report. We are proud to continue raising standards by providing quality financial reports.
