Government Finance Officers Association (GFOA) awarded our office with the Distinguished Budget Award for the fiscal year beginning October 1, 2023. This award is the highest form of recognition in governmental budgeting.
This award reflects the commitment of our office and staff to meeting the highest principles of governmental budgeting. To receive the budget award, we had to satisfy nationally recognized guidelines for effective budget presentation.
This is the 23rd consecutive year that the Collier County Clerk of the Court and Comptroller’s Office has been recognized with the GFOA Distinguished Budget Presentation Award. Many hours of review, analysis, and evaluation of operations go into the creation of the Clerk’s annual budget book to make sure that we are doing the best that we can to streamline processes and save dollars where possible.
I would like to recognize and thank all of our departments and the Clerk’s accounting team for their hard work in preparing another award-winning budget book.
